Basic El Calafate - 4D/3N
El Calafate is a small town in Patagonia, Argentina. It is situated on the southern border of Lake Argentino. The city is an important tourist destination as the hub to visit different parts fo the Los Glaciares National Park, including the Perito Moreno Glacier, the Cerro Chalten, and the Cerro Torre. Originally a place of shelter for wool traders, El Calafate was offically founded in 1929 to promote an increase in its population. But, it was not until the creation of the national park that the little village started to grow.
Los Glaciares National Park was created in 1937 and is the second largest in Argentina. Its name refers to the giant ice cap in the Andes range that feeds 47 large glaciers.
Perito Moreno Glacier is located in the Los Glaciares National Park in the southwest of the Santa Cruz province. Due to its size and accessibility, Perito Moreno is one of the major tourist attractions to southern Patagonia.

Itinerary
- DAY 01 CALAFATE - Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in El Calafate.
- DAY 02 CALAFATE-PERITO MORENO GLACIER-LOS GLACARES NATIONAL PARK-CALAFATE - Full day tour will allow discovering the Perito Moreno Glacier. Transfer to Los Glaciares National Park, walking along wooden bridges, in front of this impressive glacier whose iceface is more than 50 meters high (optional: sailing possibility in small rubber boats up to the glacier). Return to El Calafate in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel in El Calafate. (B)
- DAY 03 CALAFATE - At the agreed time transfer to the airport and assistance to board departure flight. (B)
