Cameroon is a beautiful combination of mountains, volcanic highlands, coastal plains, jungle rivers, rain forest and savanna. Once a German colony, its helter-skelter artificial borders enclose more than 150 different ethnic groups and, although there are plenty of natural resources, corruption and poverty have prevented the country from taking advantage of this wealth. 

Its range of attractions is better suited to an adventurous, experienced African traveler.
