Victoria fallsZimbabwe, like Botswana, is a landlocked country at the base of the African continent, on a high plateau and with a terrain primarily consisting of grasslands bordered on the east by mountains and on tn the northeastern by the mighty Zambezi River, along which is located the incomparable spectacle of Victoria Falls and the magnificent expanse of Lake Kariba.

The Zambezi has become one of the world’s best water adventure travel destinations, offering outstanding whitewater rafting in the Zambezi Gorges below the falls as well as excellent canoeing and kayaking above them. The mighty Zambezi River hurls itself off the top of huge cliff into a gorge below and thus becomes one of the most fantastic sights in the natural world. Nothing can compare with the spectacle of the roaring water, topped by a white mist that leaps and dances in the air, the spray refracting a shimmering rainbow of light over the scene. A lush rain forest on the margins of the falls, sustained by the spray, further enhances the beauty.
