Italia Classica - Florence-Rome-Sorrento - 8D/7N
Dubbed the world’s ‘living art gallery’, Italy has drawn visitors in search of culture and romance for centuries. Italy’s contribution to European paining and sculpture far surpasses that of any other nation, being home to various phenomenal ancient civilizations, the Renaissance, the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican. Italy has more ‘culture’ than any other country: from a broken pillar rising up through the linoleum floor of a train station to a baroque church overlooking an antique pediment in the forum, history and culture surround you. Italy is a country that offers joy as well as interest, inviting surrender to the beauties of art and landscape, quickening the spirit with the reverberation of history, seducing the senses with robust food and wine and the warm Mediterranean sun.
Blend this with the splendor of the Sorrento coast and the island of Capri, the striking Tuscan countryside, the vitality of Rome and the unique effervescent splendor of Venice and you have a fantastic destination for a tour. From Rome travel south to the Bay of Naples and a discovery of its jewels: Capri, Sorrento and Pompei. Then back to Rome and continue to Florence for a discovery of the city and the Tuscan countryside with famous San Gimignano and Siena.

Day by day itinerary:
- Day 1 - Sunday: Florence - Arrival in Florence. Day at leisure and overnight.
- Day 2 - Monday: Florence/Pisa/Florence - Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from the hotel to the meeting point and depart for Pisa, one of the most famous cities in the world. We will start with a walk up to the entrance gate: Porta Santa Maria. From here an extraordinary view of the Miracle Square. Visit of the Baptistery and of the Cathedral. Once out of these monuments, we will admire the popular Lening Tower. Return to Florence and afternoon at leisure. Overnight.
- Day 3 - Tuesday: Florence/Rome - Breakfast at the hotel and visit of the city with local guide: transfer to Piazzale Michelangelo to admire the famous view of the city. Going over the Ponte Vecchio, we continue to the historical center. After lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues on foot: Santa Croce, the visit of Museum of Accademia, with the famous Statue of David by Michelangelo. The walk continues to Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Dome by Brunelleschi, the Baptistery. Departure to Rome, accommodation at the hotel and overnight.
- Day 4 - Wednesday: Rome - Breakfast and overnight at the hotel. Panoramic city tour with local guide.The visit starts with a promenade through the historical center with the famous Trevi Fountain till Piazza Navona. Along the way we will admire Piazza Colonna and the Pantheon with the widest dome in the world. Continue by coach to the Vatican and visit of Saint Peter’s square and Basilica. Afternoon at leisure or optional tour Christian Rome - The Catacombs (optional, not included).
- Day 5 - Thursday: Rome - Breakfast and overnight at the hotel. Visit of the Vatican Museum with local guide; the Tapestry Gallery, the Raphael Rooms,and above all the Sistine Chapel. Afternoon at leisure or optional tour Ancient Rome - The Roman Forum (optional, not included).
- Day 6 - Friday: Rome/Naples/Pompei/Sorrento - Leave Rome towards Naples, short city tour and proceed to Pompeii.Lunch and visit the excavations. Continue to Sorrento for dinner and overnight at hotel.
- Day 7 - Saturday: Sorrento/Capri/Rome - Breakfast at hotel, leave by steamer to the island of Capri. On arrival, weather permitting, visit by rowing boat, the Blue Grotto and tour of the island by minibus with visit of Capri and Anacapri for lunch. Back again to Marina Grande to board the steamer and return to Sorrento, from where the journey back to Rome starts. Arrival in Rome, transfer to the hotel and overnight.
- Day 8 - Sunday: Rome - Breakfast and end of our services.
