Italian Lakes Fly & Drive - 6D/5N
A suggested itinerary, studied to give you the possibility to discover Italy and its treasures, from the most famous cities to the unknown towns and the quiet countryside. Enjoy these beautiful lakes!
Departures: Daily from April to October.
Accommodation:
Como Lake: Grand Hotel Como 4* Or Similar
Maggiore Lake: Bristol 4* Or Similar
* Supplement for superior car category on request. During fairs or special events rates will be reconfirmed upon booking
Included: Accommodation at the hotels of the booked category including breakfast - Car hire group B from the 1° to the last day including unlimited mileage and compulsory insurances.
Note: all notices and extra possible insurances as per car hire contract which will be signed at the rent a car office, we invite you to read it carefully.
Not Included: Airfare - Bar - Entrance fees and drinks during meals - Airport tax - Personal expenses - Insurance - Passports and visas.
Day by day itinerary:
- 1st Day: Milan / D’Orta lake / Stresa (Maggiore lake) - Departure from Milan by car (rented at the airport or in one of the rented offices located in the city Centre) to the D’Orta lake (Km 55) to visit the Monastery and the Church of St. Jules (visit by boat). Continue to the lago Maggiore. Arrival in Stresa(Km 75), accommodation and overnight.
- 2nd Day: Stresa / Locarno - Breakfast and overnight at the hotel. Departure to Locarno (Km 55) to visit the famous lake. Suggestive excursion by train to Grimagliera to visit the Church of Madonna del Sasso. Return to Stresa.
- 3rd Day: Stresa / Borromee Islands - Breakfast and overnight at the hotel. Visit by boat of the “Isole Borromee”: isola Bella with its beautiful palace and its scenic gardens; Isola Madre with its gardens full of rare plants and exotic flowers; Rocca Borromeo, an unsusual example of a completely preserved medieval fortified building.
- 4th Day: Stresa / Como Lake - Breakfast and departure to Arona (Km 16). After the visit the journey continue to Como (Km 80). Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation and overnight.
- 5th Day: Como Lake - Breakfast and overnight at the hotel. Full day dedicated to the visit of the lake.
- 6th Day: Como Lake / Milan - Breakfast and departure to Milan (Km 51) Arrival and delivery of the rented car in one of the offices in the city centre or at the airport. End of our services.
Note: above program is just a suggestion; the itinerary can be partially or totally changed, adding extra overnight in each of the mentioned cities or introducing new touristic services such as sightseeing, local guide services, private visits, meals in typical restaurants etc. Please feel free to ask us to build your personal itinerary according to your needs.
