Laos Highlights - 8D/7N
Although a small country, Laos offers a variety of differently unique places with a sense of the real Lao culture. No two places are alike and this program highlights some of the well-known places in each part of Laos and let you discover the mystical charm of this nation.
Vientiane, is the country’s center of culture and commerce, its major attractions include beautiful Buddhist monasteries and important monuments surrounded by striking scenery; Wat Saket, Wat Pra Kaew, That Luang Stupa should definitely not be missed. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The ancient royal city, surrounded by mountains at the junction of the Mekong and its tributary Khan river, is a sleepy town which has preserved its long-standing reputation as a stronghold of Lao culture with its splendid natural scenery and sense of timelessness. Vang Vieng is known for the gorgeous Nam Song River and the magnificent karst limestone mountains rising up out of the land and stunning at any hour. The mountains are of course particularly beautiful with the golden pink glow of sunset behind them… the perfect time to sit and have a drink in one of the riverside restaurants.

Day by day Itinerary:
- Day 1 Vientiane - Arrival in Vientiane. Transfer. Sightseeing in Vientiane. Overnight in Vientiane.
- Day 2 Vientiane / Vang Vieng - Excursion to Buddha Park (Wat Xieng Khuan). Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Vientiane.
- Day 3 Vientiane / Vang Vieng - By vehicle from Vientiane to Vang Vieng with a boat trip on Nam Ngum Lake. Overnight in Vang Vieng.
- Day 4 Vang Vieng / Phonsavanh - Visit Tham Pha Thao Cave. Visit Tham Xang Cave. By vehicle from Vang Vieng to Phonsavanh (Xieng Khuang). Overnight in Phonsavanh.
- Day 5 Phonsavanh - Sightseeing in the Plain of Jars (Sites I and II) and Muang Khoun. Overnight in Phonsavanh.
- Day 6 Phonsavanh / Luang Prabang - Visit the local market. By vehicle from Phonsavanh to Luang Prabang with sightseeing at Muang Sui. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
- Day 7 Luang Prabang - Sightseeing in Luang Prabang. Visit Mount Phousi. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
- Day 8 Luang Prabang - Excursion by boat to Pak Ou Caves. Visit the weaving village of Ban Xang Khong. Overnight in Luang Prabang.
- Day 9 Luang Prabang - Transfer.
