Mekong Legends - 10D/9N
The Mekong River, known as the Mother of waters, is the heart and soul of mainland Southeast Asia crossing through Yunnan, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. Millions of people have depended on the Mekong for most aspects of their daily lives, its annual floods are essential to agriculture and many legends have been born along its course…
Indochina - Indochina was a federation of French colonies and protectorates in south-east Asia, consisting of Cochin China, Tonkin, Annam (all of which now form Vietnam), Laos and the Khmer Republic (now Cambodia). As a geographic term, Indochina also includes Thailand and Burma. Each of the Indochina Countries has its own unique attractions. Ancient monuments and old royal capitals bear witness to an illustrious past, while life styles present fascinating and contrasting images. Natural sights also abound, from the mountains to rainforests, and from wooded valleys to vast flood plains. Today the region provides exciting travel opportunity as the countries of the Mekong basin are fully accessible. Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam all now offer fresh and fascinating tour options and Thailand, in most cases, provides the perfect gateway for these journeys of discovery.
