This was once the dominion of Rajas Charles Brooke, and the white colonial architecture is well preserved. Take a round trip* and visit the Sarawak Museum and Fort Margherita from that time and the colourful Chinese temple. If you see orang-utans swinging from lianas to their feeding places you are on your way to the oldest jungle on earth. Visit the traditional longhouses and the orang-utans* in the Semongoh return-to-nature station. - Tue., 03/11 Relax at sea

More than a thousand types of orchids are blooming in Kinabalu National Park*. This UNESCO world natural heritage is a paradise for botanists. Mount Kinabalu towers above it at an altitude of more than 2,000 m, the highest mountain in southeast Asia. A trip on one of Borneo’s last trains* takes you very close to life on the island. Travel past mangrove marshes, green fields and small villages. - Thurs., 03/13 Muara (Bandar Seri Begawan)/Brunei, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
The golden dome of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque glitters in the moonlight, and you get ready for Bandar Seri Begawan*. 30,000 people live here, in the pile village of in the river Brunei. Their traditional houses ar linked with a great number of wooden paths and bridges. A unique sight - as is the royal “Palace of Light”. - Fri., 03/14 Relax at sea

The countless little boats of the fishing fleet welcome you to the port. The sights of Nha Trang* include the Institute for Oceanology and the Po Nagar towers from the time of the Cham culture. The brick buildings are among the most beautiful in Vietnam. The white Buddha of the Long Son Pagoda is wonderful. Your excursion river trip and the insights into the interior* includes a visit to the Po Nagar towers and a river trip to Coconut Island. - Sun., 03/16 Trip on the Mekong - Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)/Vietnam, arrival 9:00 am, until Mon., 03/17, departure 4:00 pm
The bubbling life of Saigon* welcomes you to Ho Chi Minh City and takes you to the Reunification Palace and to the many neo-classicist buildings. Your trip through the Mekong Delta* is much more relaxed. This little Asian paradise which consists of countless rivers and canals is called the southern-most rice chamber of Vietnam. Go on a boat trip and glide through the lush and green vegetation. Another highlight awaits you one day later: the overland flight to Angkor Wat*.
The aeroplane takes you to Cambodia to the main temples of Khmer in the middle of the rainforest. These impressive buildings were erected in 1113 by order of the God King Surjawarman II and were put together from elaborately designed sandstone. Countless images of female dancers, elephants and other symbols adorn the temples. - Tue., 03/18 Relax at sea

Return to the ship from the overland excursion - Having experienced the idyllic little villages and rice fields on your way to Phnom Penh*, the busy traffic of the capital will seem rather wild. But here, too, wonderful places of peace are waiting for you: the Royal Palace with its valuable silver pagoda and the Hill Temple of Wat Phnom Daun Penh from the year 1373. - Thurs., 03/20 Relax at sea

You are sitting in the deckchair and slowly the skyline of Singapore emerges from the horizon - an impressive sight, which you can explore further on your city sightseeing tour*.
