Acapulco/Mexico - Before you embark in Acapulco, the highlights of Mexico City in the pre cruise programme* await you. Whether a visit to the historical centre, to the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon or at the former home of the artist Frida Kahlo - start your holiday with excitement-filled days.

Zihuatanejo (Ixtapa)/Mexico - You can enjoy life at the same place where the last king of the Purépecha took a refreshing dip in the Pacific. Go on shore in the dreamy bay, give in to the picturesque Mexican charm of the small town and take a water taxi* to visit one of the innumerable beaches in the area.

Manzanillo/Mexico - The wide lagoon before the bustling port town gives promise of an enchanting day on Mexico’s western coast. The Sierra Madre Occidental loom in the hinterland, and narrow mountain roads lead to the “Place of the Fire God”: Colima* at the foot of the volcano Nevado de Colima. A city with colonial architecture and a flair all of its own, regarded by many as an insider tip.

Cabo San Lucas/Baja California - The sun glitters on the ocean, endless sandy beaches stretch along the Pacific and the untamed peninsula displays its full glory at El Arco. Right at the point where the Pacific and the Sea of Cortes meet is where snorkellers, divers or surfers will find the ideal conditions for a grand time.

Kailua-Kona/Hawaii - One of the most magnificent refuges of this world lies in the middle of the Pacific: Hawaii. Big Island, the largest of the enchanting volcanic islands, can certainly take one’s breath away with the beauty of its striking contrasts. Waterfalls cascade down the mountains in the tropical rainforest. Innumerable species of orchids bloom on the island. Solidified lava flows, coral reefs swarming with fish and the golden beaches of the Kohala coast* stretch for miles along the ocean. One of the island’s attractions can be viewed especially well from the air: during a helicopter flight* over the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, you will be amazed at the active volcano Kilauea, which began erupting in 1983 and continues to disgorge streams of lava which make their way to the sea, some above-ground.

A view out over an expanse of some 3,900 feet stretching to the steep coast of Napali will certainly remain an indelible memory. Extraordinary views can be seen from even higher up: a flight over Kauai* reveals white sandy beaches, jagged coasts, wild canyons and lush vegetation.

Honolulu/Oahu/Hawaii - Hawaii’s cosmopolitan capital with legendary Waikiki Beach, its skyscrapers and the extinct volcano Diamond Head will bid you farewell as you start your trip home to Germany via San Francisco - or invite you to spend more marvellous days with the post cruise programme Multifaceted Maui* There will be plenty of time for restful days in your luxurious hotel between the expedition to Haleakala Crater and a helicopter flight over the island.
