San Pedro de Atacama - 7D/6N
The north of Chile is a singular landscape of solitary beaches, vast deserts and enormous perfectly conical volcanoes, where picturesque Andean villages, ruins of Pre-Columbian cultures and hauntingly abandonded nitrate mines live on. Alto Atacama has created an All Inclusive Program where you can experience a big part of the desert, its oasis, the Altiplano, and local cultures. This program includes a diversity of different excursions like a visit to the archaeological museum, climbing a volcano or to enjoy the immensity of a salt flat. We invite you to discover and enjoy what this beautiful land has to offer.
San Pedro de Atacama is known as the “Archaeological Capital of Chile” because it is the location where Father Gustavo la Paige, a Belgian priest and archaeologist, discovered the first mummies and built an excellent museum which preserves more than 300,000 pieces from the Atacama culture. This small and picturesque village provides infrastructure and services for tourists who learn desire to learn abou the Atacamanean culture.

- HD by car: Lickanantai culture, Toconao – Atacama Salt Flat, Subset in Moon Valley, Jerez vVlley, El Tatio Geysers.
- FD by car: Altiplanic Lagoons, Villages of the Altiplano, Tara Salt Flat.
- HD Hikes: Moon valley, Los Colorados, Quebrada De Kari, Quebrada De Los Cardones, Alto Katarpe, Tambo Katarpe, Katarpe - Quebrada Del Diablo.
- FD Hikes: Waillar: The Shepherds’ Trail, Alto Socaire.
- HD Mountain: Toco
- HD Bicycle: Katarpe valley, Ayllu de Quitor – San Pedro de Atacama, Cejar lagoon, Inca Trail, Desert Valleys.
Included: Hotel accommodation. Meals as listed in the itinerary (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, BL=Box Lunch, D=Dinner). Visits with entrance fees. Transfers with bilingual (Spanish-English) guide as indicated. Bus Ticket.

Notes:
- Departures with a minimum of 1 passenger.
- Temperatures in San Pedro vary depending on the time of day and the altitude - it is recommemded to wear layers, with a warm jacket or fleece for colder nights.
- Recommend taking a 20-35 liter backpack, swimsuit, sandals, several layers of clothing, trainers, trekking shores, trekking trousers, windbreaker, sun block, hat, sunglasses, gloves and hat for higher altitude excursions, high mountain parkas will be needed in case of a climb up to 5000 asl.
- Comfortable walking shoes are needed for hikes.

Itinerary
- DAY 01 SANTIAGO - Reception at airport and transfer to the hotel in Santiago. Accommodation in hotel in Santiago. (D)
- DAY 02 CALAMA-SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - Arrival to Calama. Reception and transfer to Alto Atacama Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama. 3 nights of lodging. FD or HD Tour chosen from the excursions menu. (B,L,D)
- DAY 03 - 05 SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - Choose from a menu of excursions that will make you enjoy this amazing landscape, such as salt flats, geysers, and old Atacamenian villages. These tours can be done by car, bicycle, or hikes, always guided by an expert. (B,L,D)
- DAY 06 SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA-CALAMA - Full day or half day tour to be chosen from the excursions menu, depending on your departure
flight. Transfer to the Calama Airport. Reception at airport in Santiago and transfer to the hotel in Santiago. (B,L) - DAY 07 SANTIAGO - At the agreed time transfer to the airport to take the departure flight. (B)
