Visa Requirements for U.S. visitors

Saudi Arabia, modern country with a way of life dating back to the 7th-century days of the Prophet Muhammad, has only recently started issuing tourist visas to a few organized tour groups and the government closely controls the tour itineraries forbidding visits in certain regions and cities.

If you are not in a group you can only visit is you are a Muslim religious pilgrim (to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina) or a business man specifically approved to visit.
