Driving in TuscanyProbably the best way to travel in Italy as a car allows you to be mobile at all times, to stop whenever you want, to visit to your heart’s content! A limitless number of itineraries is possible, as you can combine any of the Italian regions and cities to create “your own” program. The tours listed here, are the traveling suggested itineraries covering different regions departing and returning from / to a variety of major cities. All self drive example itineraries include car Cat C and hotel accommodation at selected hotels as mentioned (depending on availability at time of request) and have been prepared with a base of 2/3 passengers (other rates are available on request as different type of cars will be needed). Take them as they are, lengthen, shorten, combine them as you desires or just use them for ideas in creating “your itinerary” to discover Italy “as you want”! If you like the tour but decide to further customize it, request the customized itinerary.

A TUSCAN AND UMBRIAN VISIT
An introduction to the regions of Tuscany and Umbria and a great way to transfer from Rome to Florence. Visit Assisi, full of the mysticism of St. Francis, then to Etruscan Cortona to visit a little jewel of a city. Finally to Siena with time to visit both the city and the wine areas. The itinerary is a unique blend of hilltop villages and art cities. Departure/Arrival in either cities: (Florence or Rome). Departs ANY DAY with minimum 2 pax, ALL YEAR

A TALE OF MOUNTAINS AND LAKES
From Alpine lake splendor to the magic of the Dolomites it is a complete itinerary to discover the beautiful Alpine countryside of Northern Italy. Combine a visit of Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda, famous for their incredible riviera-like climate with an exploration of the Dolomites region and its jet-set symbol, Cortina d’Ampezzo. DISCOVERING NORTHERN ITALY
A visit of two major lakes, Lake Como and Lake Garda combined with an exploration of the hinterland of the Venetian Republic. Start on lake Como with splendid Cernobbio, continue via Bergamo to the largest of the Alpine lakes, Lake Garda. Then on via Verona and Vicenza to Cittadella, near Padova, a splendid location for the discovery of the region of the famous Venetian villas. Departure/Arrival in either cities: (Milan or Venice). VILLAS, MOSAICS & RENAISSANCE
Just a small taste of what Italy can offer: from the Venetian villas travel to the last capital of the Roman empire, Ravenna, to visit its incredible mosaics. Then on to San Marino, where mediaeval times seem to still come alive. Next to the magic of Tuscany with Arezzo, Pienza, Montalcino, Siena and the Chianti region to Florence, the capital of the Renaissance. Departure/Arrival in either cities: (Venice or Florence). A SOUTHERN VISIT: CAMPANIA & PUGLIA DISCOVERY
A discovery of some of the beautiful scenery in the south. Start with the area of Sorrento and the Amalfi drive, then on to Alberobello, where the “trulli” still stand reminding us of a long ago past. Stop to meditate in San Giovanni Rotondo where Padre Pio lived with a day to discover the magic of the Garganic Peninsula. Continue north along the Adriatic coast to Lanciano returning to Rome across the Apennine mountains. Departure/Arrival cities: (Naples or Rome). Departs ANY DAY with minimum 2 pax, April to October.
