Just a small taste of what Italy can offer: from the Venetian villas you will travel to the last capital of the Roman empire, Ravenna, to visit the incredible mosaics. Then on to San Marino, a separate country surrounded by Italy, where mediaeval times seem to still come alive. Next is a visit of Urbino or Sansepolcro, on the way to Arezzo, where you will discover much of the Tuscan art of the late Mediaeval and Renaissance period. Next is splendid Tuscany with its rolling landscape of hills dotted with olive groves and vineyards, visit Pienza, Siena, the Chianti area and so much more!

Veneto is the welcoming land of a great civilization where not only Venice, one of the most incredible cities in the world, but also the 20 km long open-air museum of the Brenta Canal, lined with Palladio’s splendid villas, the spa resort of Abano and Montegrotto, the “queen” of the Dolomites, Cortina, the Asiago plateau, the Cadore Valley, the beaches of Caorle and Jesolo, Verona and Padua with the Arena and the Basilica of St. Anthony and so much more attract the visitor.

Emilia Romagna runs from the Apennines to the Adriatic and nearly every town and village has a cathedral rich in masterpieces, a castle frescoed by the greatest masters and a couple of towers reaching up to the sky like the famous Asinelli and Garisenda towers in Bologna. Ravenna, the last capital of the Western Roman Empire, is resplendent in her Byzantine monument, embellished with mosaics. The cuisine is famous for its meat dishes, sausages, prosciutto and cheeses.
