Söll, at the foot of the Hohen Salve, one of the mountains in the Tyrol offering the best views and the summit of which can be reached by an 8-person cable car, offers an ideal starting point for the ski arena. Söll is also known for its night skiing and flood-lit natural toboggan run as well as its aprè ski and the outstanding restaurants. Among the attractions are a panoramic swimming pool, squash, ice skating rink, camp site, ski nursery school and nursery school for non-skiers etc. Classed as the prettiest village in Europe, Westendorf offers one highlight after another. As far as the ski area is concerned the likes of Toni Sailer and Willi Bogner have sung the praises of Westendorf. Paragliders will find thier Mecca here and the top quality events are world famous. Among other attractions are cross-country skiing, tobogganing, riding. Going lies right at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser and offers the beginning skier as well as the expert ideal conditions. It is not only renowned as a cross-country paradise but also for the famous “Stanglwirt”, whose indoor tennis and squash courts as well as the indoor riding arena with the Lipizzaner stud farm are very popular. Ellmau, with Austria’s most modern and fastest funicular, brings visitors right up to the center of the ski area in a mere 4 minutes!
