Although Umhlanga is a coastal holiday hotspot, it is also considered a City Stopover due to its close proximity to Durban’s City Centre. Umhlanga is a thriving metropolis of imposing mansions and breathtaking seaside apartments. Visit the Gateway Theatre of Shopping - more than just a shopping mall. Our stopovers provide a small taste of the cultural mix of South Africa with programs to the major cities: Cape Town, Pretoria, Umhlanga, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Johannesburg. They are stand-alone packages, but can also be “pre” or “post” stopovers en-route to your next destination. They include assistance on arrival, return airport/hotel transfers, accommodation and scheduled day excursions. The tours are flexible, you can make your stay longer or shorter to suit yourself.

Sketch Itinerary
- Day 1 Arrive Durban - On arrival at Durban International Airport, our representative will meet and assist you to your hotel transfer. Umhlanga is a coastal playground, just north of Durban.
- Day 2 Umhlanga - Today may be spent at leisure relaxing on miles of unspoilt beaches. For ‘shopaholics’, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping is a short distance away.
- Day 3 Depart Umhlanga - After breakfast you will be transferred to Durban International Airport for your onward journey
