Not Included: Departure airport tax ($26.00 per person as per today) is not included; participants will have to pay for it directly at the international airport - Meals or optional activities not indicated on the itinerary - Gratuities.

Notes: According to the International Airport requirements all passengers must be at airport at least 3 hours before departure flight time for safety and check in procedures - 2 participants minimum.

  • Day 1 Costa Rica - Arrival to Juan Santamaría International / San Jose Airport. Meet and greet by our bilingual tour guide. He will assist participants with the transfer to hotel and luggage handling. Accommodation at Occidental Torremolinos Hotel or similar.
  • Day 2 2D-1N Pacuare River Rafting - Early morning pick up at the hotel in San Jose for the Pacuare River Rafting experience, breakfast en-route. The Pacuare River is one of the top five rafting rivers in the world for its scenery and rapids. Accommodation at River Tent Camp. (B / L / D)
  • Day 3 Pacuare Adventure Paddle & Hike Expedition - The second day begins with a hot, freshly brewed cup of Costa Rica’s famous coffee. After a hearty breakfast, we pack our gear, to continue our river descent. At the conclusion of your river descent, transfer back to San Jose. Accommodation at Occidental Torremolinos Hotel or similar. (B & L)
  • Day 4 San Jose – Savegre Lodge - Breakfast at hotel. Pick up at the lobby of the Hotel for the ground transfer to the Mountains of San Gerardo de Dota to Savegre Lodge. Arrival to Savegre Lodge and rest of day at leisure to explore the surrounding on your own or to hike on the private trails of the property. Accommodation at Savegre Lodge or similar. (B)

  • Day 5 Waterfalls Hiking Tour - This day you will have the opportunity to enjoy a hiking tour to the Waterfalls. Hiking tour to Waterfall: One of the most impressive sceneries in the area is with not doubt the Savegre River Waterfall. Just within an hour walk you will have the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful waterfall surrounded by a dense cloud forest. Your guide will take you through the forest and show you the gorgeous flora and fauna the spreads alongside the crystal waters of the Savegre River, until the point where it turns into an amazing white veil, the Savegre River Waterfall, one more reason to fall in love with San Gerardo de Dota. Accommodation at Savegre Lodge or similar. (B)
  • Day 6 Savegre Lodge – Rafiki Safari Lodge - Breakfast at Savegre lodge. Early morning departure on ground transfer to Rafiki Safari Lodge. Approximate driving time 4 hours. Arrival to Rafiki Safari Lodge on time for lunch and then afternoon at leisure to explore the surrounding on your own or to relax on the natural pool. Accommodation at Rafiki Safari Lodge Tent Camp or similar. (B / L / D)
  • Day 7 Kayaking Experience - Today be ready to have a kayak lesson. Kayak Lesson at Rafiki Lodge: The Savegre River offers white water sections for kayakers of all ability levels. We will provide a lesson either for beginning, intermediate, and advanced kayakers; a full line of Riot kayaks are available for rent, including all necessary gear, after the lesson or while being at the lodge. Accommodation at Rafiki Safari Lodge Tent Camp or similar. (B / L / D)
  • Day 8 Adios Costa Rica! - Early breakfast at the hotel. Pick up at Rafiki Safari Lodge for the local transfer to Quepos Airstrip Air transfer Quepos – San José (35 minute flight), and upon arrival departure transfer to International Airport for the departure flight. (B)
