Often called the Cradle of Civilization and the Gateway to History, Syria has been a great crossroad for trade and along its Mediterranean coast and to the East, silk trade caravans crossed the desert in winter and summer establishing a link between east and west.

ts citadels, fortresses, towers and walls have witnessed, generation after generation, great civilizations that have flourished and died leaving their ruins as a testimony to their glory and majesty. This is where the first alphabet was invented and later exported to the West, and the country has been linked to Religion from the beginning, from the Semitic Deities to the monotheistic faiths. A compendium which has enriched human civilization with culture, science and literature.
