Undoubtedly, one of the most attractive regions in the country due to the infinite variety of its colors and its scenery., the Northwest region has been inhabited  from immemorial times by different people. Their influence can be observed in several archaeological sites, in the astonishing handicrafts produced according to ancient traditions and in the typical local cuisine. It is also the region which has best preserved its colonial heritage, especially in the architecture of some of its cities and small towns, some of which seem to be stuck in time. A region where the sky seems to be closer than anywhere else.

There are three distinctive sections of Patagonia. The lake district offering a set of beautiful National Parks with vast extensions of virgin woods, deep crystal-clear water lakes and the snowed peaks of the Andes. The Central Land extending from the Atlantic to the Andes where the history of evolution has left its traces in its rugged coasts and steppes, a natural reserve of invaluable species along with millenary petrified woods, marine fossils and ancient rupestrian paintings.
