El Salvador, the "Land of the volcanoes" offers an incredible variety of attractions: 300 km of coastline with great sandy beached and hot-spots for surfers, monumental volcanic peaks covered by mystifying cloud forests and ancient Mayan ritual sacrifice sites bearing testimony to the central significance of El Salvador in a past era.

An opportunity to explore the natural areas in the country including the El Imposible Park which has the most species of plants and animals here.

This park still provides a habitat and they are making their last stand here.

In the old days traders used to travel to the coast passing through this forest, leading their mules through the steep "Impossible Pass", from which the park takes its name.

In effect this is one of the last remnants of rainforest that once grew all along the Mesoamerican Pacific coast.
