THE INDIAN PACIFIC
As the name implies, the Indian Pacific gives you two oceans on one of the world’s longest and greatest train journeys. From the spectacular Blue Mountains to the treeless plains of The Nullarbor, where the train travels the world’s longest straight stretch of railway track (478 kilometres), you will see unique landscapes unfold and spot a fascinating array of wildlife from the comfort of the lounge or your cabin. All along the Indian Pacific route, keep your eyes peeled for a sighting of the magnificent Australian wedge tailed eagle, the symbol of this great train. THE GHAN
When The Ghan first departed Adelaide for Alice Springs on 4th August 1929, it was always intended that it would one day travel through to Darwin. More than 70 years on that dream is set to become a reality. From 8 February 2004, The Ghan began its new 2,979 kilometre, northsouth transcontinental journey through the heart of Australia, further enhancing one of the world’s great train journeys. THE SUNLANDER
