Yugoslavia is really Serbia and Montenegro, all that remains of the old federation that once included Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia.
 
Today, after the fighting in Serbia's Kosovo province and a NATO bombing campaign, the country is a less violent place, but the economy was crippled by the sanctions enforced during wartime and the political situation remains volatile and the country is not really in a position to welcome visitors just yet.
